To provide cohesive medical care to the communities it serves
in southwesterm Massachusetts, Berkshire Physicians and Surgeons
(BP&S) needed to consolidate its physician practices in the
area.
The site, on historic Main Street, mandated sensitive architectural
consideration. BBL coordinated site and building design with the
construction process to be compatible with this New England village's
existing structures.
BP&S and its partners, ProMedCo, a national physician practice
management company, entered into a agreement with Columbia Companies,
a strategic partner of BBL. This ensured the financial assistance
BP&S needed to make the facility a reality. BBL guranteed
the construction contract and adhered to an ambitious seven month
construction schedule.
The facility houses primary care and general surgery practices.
Specialists use the facility on a rotating schedule, providing
the surrounding community with access to comprehensive health
care.
