Why must owners pay large architectural, engineering, and management fees to determine the cost or lease rate of their building programs? One does not pay a design-fee when purchasing a piece of imaging equipment or an automobile. Couldn’t owners have a less cumbersome method of determining the cost or lease rate of their new medical facilities? BBL Medical Facilities is product-driven, performance-based and has completed over 2-billion dollars worth of new facility and renovation building programs. The labor and material quantities required to develop these facilities have been assembled into one large database. These quantities have also been categorized into 36 distinct project types. With this data, BBL is able to accurately determine the labor and material quantities required to design and build the different types of programs on a per-square-foot basis. By utilizing local labor rates and material costs of a specific geographic location, we are able to calculate and “guarantee” the cost or lease rate to develop a medical facility on any desired site location nationwide.
